Noon Archive is an open academic digital repository built by students of Crescent University, Abeokuta. It organizes verified course past questions, lecture notes, and study materials into a clean, searchable digital library to make education open-source for every student and anyone willing to learn.

Who founded Noon Archive?

Noon Archive was founded by a passionate team of Crescent University students: Sanni Oladotun Fawwaz (CEO/Founder), Abdul-hameed Walid (CTO, also founder of Lawde-Shield), Obayomi Khalid Olanrewaju, Mayale-eke Hasib, Akobada Abdul-Ahad, and Azeem Ayobami Oseni, dedicated to campus academic equity.

Is Noon Archive free?

Yes, Noon Archive is completely free for students. Our mission is to democratize academic resources without financial barriers or subscription fees. Students can search, preview, and download verified past questions and academic course materials without paying any access charges.

Which universities does it support?

Noon Archive is currently piloting at Crescent University, Abeokuta (CUAB), covering departments across engineering, sciences, arts, and management. The architectural foundation is multi-tenant and designed to scale to higher education institutions across Nigeria and beyond.

A digital repository is a centralized online academic archive where course materials, past exam questions, and study resources are systematically organized by university, faculty, department, level, and semester. It eliminates lost physical handouts and makes exam revision dependable.

1. Introduction

Noon Archive ("we," "us," "our") provides an academic resource platform for Nigerian university students — past questions, lecture notes, and handouts — currently piloting at Crescent University, Abeokuta (CUAB), accessible at noonarchive.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how it is used and shared, and the choices and rights available to you under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 ("NDPA") and applicable Nigeria Data Protection Commission ("NDPC") guidance.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data, verified against the current platform:

We do not collect government ID numbers (e.g., NIN, BVN), financial/payment details, biometric data, health information, or precise device location.
We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising tracking on the platform.

Account information	Full name, email address, password (if you sign up with email) — handled securely by our authentication system; we never see or store your raw password.
Google sign-in information	If you use "Sign in with Google," we receive your email address from Google. We do not receive or store your Google profile photo, and we do not receive or store any Google access or refresh token.
Student profile information	Matric number, university, faculty, department, and academic level (100–700). Matric number is used only as a profile identifier, never as a login credential.
Matric number correction requests	If you submit a request to correct your matric number, we keep a record of the request (old value, requested value, status, and which administrator reviewed it) for accountability.
Profile photo	An optional avatar image you choose to upload directly to Noon Archive.
Activity data	Which resources you view, bookmark, download, or report, and when. Downloads are limited to 3 per resource per day per account.
Technical/session data	One authentication session cookie (keeps you signed in). No advertising or analytics cookies are used.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your personal data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.

To create and secure your account, and verify you are a legitimate student user.
To show you academic resources relevant to your university, department, and level.
To operate core features: bookmarking, download history, content reporting, and matric number correction requests.
To send you account-related and platform notifications by email — we do not send native push notifications to your device.
To maintain the security and integrity of the platform, including detecting abuse of the upload or reporting systems.

4. Who We Share Information With

We share personal data only with the service providers that help us run the platform, each acting as a data processor on our instructions. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

We may also disclose personal data if required by law, to respond to a valid legal request from a Nigerian court or regulator, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Noon Archive, our users, or the public.

5. Uploaded Academic Content

Past questions, lecture notes, and handouts uploaded to the platform may contain the names of lecturers, course coordinators, or other individuals mentioned within the document itself. This Privacy Policy governs personal data we collect about you as a Noon Archive user; it does not govern third-party personal data that may appear incidentally within the content of an uploaded document. 6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use one authentication session cookie, required to keep you signed in, which does not track you across other websites. We also store three small, non-personal preferences in your browser local/session storage: your light/dark mode choice, and two flags related to the optional "install this app" prompt. None of these leave your device or identify you.

7. Data Retention

Account and profile data is retained while your account is active. If you request deletion, we will action it in accordance with our data deletion procedure. Certain logs and backup data may be retained for a limited period for security and operational integrity purposes.

8. Your Rights

Under the NDPA, you have rights that include (subject to certain exceptions): to know what personal data we hold about you and why; to correct inaccurate personal data; to request deletion of your personal data; to withdraw consent, where our processing is based on consent; and to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with the NDPC.

9. Children's Privacy

Noon Archive is intended for university students. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Security

We use technical measures appropriate to the data we hold: access controls restricting who can view or manage student and resource data, private storage for uploaded files with time-limited access links, and role-based restrictions separating student and administrator access. While no system is impenetrable, we maintain industry-standard safeguards to protect your information.

11. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (such as cloud hosting and database systems) may process data in secure regions outside Nigeria. Where cross-border data transfer occurs, we ensure appropriate data protection safeguards are maintained in full compliance with NDPA requirements.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the platform before the changes take effect.
